Last 12 Hour Of Bhagat Singh

23 March 1931 in Lahore Central Jail started like any other day.The only difference was that there was a tremendous storm in the night,The morning became more golden as the morning progressed. 

But the inmates of the prison felt a little strange,When Warden Charan Singh came at 4:00 and asked them to go to their respective cells ,they didn't give a reason. The only thing that came out of his mouth was orders from above.The prisoners were still wondering what was the matter, jail barbour Barkat whispering from across the room tonight Bhagat Singh Rajguru and Sukhdev are going to be hanged.

 The inmates of the jail requested Barkat to bring whatever was Bhagat Singh's belongings to them .So that he too can tell his grandchildren that he too was in jail with Bhagat Singh.

 Just in 2 hours Bhagat Singh has to be hanged, his lawyer Pran Nath Mehta visited to his cell. Mehta saw Bhagat Singh in his small cell roaming around like a caged lion. He welcomed Mehta with a smile and asked have you bring my 'revolutionary lenin' book. When Mehta gave the book, then started reading that book in front of him as if he has not much time left. Mehta said what message do you want to give to the country. Bhagat Singh said only one message without removing his face from the book 'Down with imperialism, long live revolution'.After this now Bhagat told Mehta to say my thanks to Jawaharlal Nehru and Subhash Chandra Bose who showed keen interest in my case.After meeting Bhagat Singh

, Mehta reached Rajguru's Kothi and Rajguru's last words were, we will meet soon. And Sukhdev told Mehta that after our death, take the carrom board from the jailer, which you had given me some time ago. After Mehta's departure, the jail officials told the three revolutionaries that they would be hanged 12 hours ahead of time. They will be hanged the today evening at 7:00 pm instead of tomorrow next morning 6:00 am.

Bhagat singh Was able to read a few pages of the book given by Mehta, It came out of his mouth, won't you let me finish even a chapter of this book.

 His last wish was that he had to eat food from his mother's hand which was not fulfilled as he was to be hanged 12 hours before the time so her mother was not allowed inside the jail.

After a while all the three revolutionaries were taken out of the jail to prepare for hanging.Bhagat Singh,Rajguru,Sukhdev all three holding each other's hand and singing their popular song"Someday that day will also come that we will be free, this will be our own lack, this will be our own sky"

Then All three were weighed one by one, Everyone's weight had already increased. All of them were asked to take their last bath.Then they were dressed in black but their faces were left uncovered.Jailor Charan Singh whispered in Bhagat Singh's ear to remember Waheguru, Bhagat Singh said " I haven't remembered God all my life In fact, I have even cursed God many times for the plight of the poor,If I apologize to him now, he will say that there is no one more coward than him" It's nearing the end so I've come to apologize.

As soon as the clock struck 6:00, the prisoners heard footsteps in the distance

Along with it, the muffled voice of a song was also heard. "सरफरोशी की तमन्ना अब हमारे दिल में है देखना है जोर कितना बाज़ू-ए-क़ातिल में है"

Then suddenly slogans of Inquilab Zindabad, Hindustan Azad Ho were heard loudly. Masi the executioner to hang them Called from Shahdara ,Lahore. Bhagat singh was in the middle ,He wanted to fulfill his promise to his mother that he will raise the slogan of Inquilab Zindabad from the gallows. by listening this slogan, all prisoners started saying this slogan. The hanging rope was put around the neck of the three young revolutionaries and their hands and feet were tied. Then the executioner asked all three that who would want to be hanged first, then Sukhdev agreed that I would go first.The executioner held them one by one and removed the plank under his feet by kicking it. And after sometime they declared death by the doctor and Lt Col JJ Nelson and Lt Col N.S Sodi.

Earlier it was planned that the last rites of all three would be performed inside the jail but then had to drop the idea Because seeing the smoke rising from the jail, The mob standing outside could attack the jail. Sir, the wall behind the jail was broken and a truck was called inside and the dead bodies were thrown into the truck in a very humiliating manner. Earlier it was decided that his last rites would be performed at banks of the Ravi .But due to less water in the Ravi , it was decided to cremate him on the banks of the Sutlej near Firojpur 

Till then it was 10:00 Pm. the police inspector called near by Priest Jagdish acharya.

It was just in his time that the fire was set that people came to know about this Just like that, the Britishers saw the crowd of people coming, leaving the bodies unburnt , started running towards his vehicle from there. Whole night the people of villages did Supervision of the bodies.

I have just recited you the last 12 hours of our revolutionary,how much breathtaking it was ,so you can imagine how they live there whole life just for Struggling for fredom for their Countrymen . I am not saying that always keep taking their names , but you must give them heartfelt respect to them .

When I read this the only one line comes out from my mouth that was ' जो भरा नहीं है भावों से, जिसमें बहती रसधार नहीं, वह हृदय नहीं पत्थर है, जिसमें स्वदेश का प्यार नहीं'
